About Amanda Harrison

I am an independent Chartered Occupational Psychologist with over 20 years' consultancy experience gained across a diverse global client base in a wide range of industries and sectors. I work with clients (both independently and on an Associate basis) to help them be the best they can be - as individuals, teams, or at the organisational level. I enjoy working closely with my clients to understand their specific needs, and bring the rigour of occupational psychology in a pragmatic approach to help them achieve their goals. Broad project experience includes leadership development, coaching for individuals and teams, training design, delivery and evaluation, team development and facilitation, organisational design, culture change, collaborative working, selection and assessment. I also have fifteen years' experience in supervising trainee occupational psychologists to achieve their Chartered status. Current/Recent work experience includes- Design, delivery and evaluation of tailored leadership development programmes for Energy and Utilities organisations, Healthcare, transport (Rail, Highways, logistics), the Police, nuclear industry, and design and engineering organisations. Programmes include a range of activities such as psychometric assessment and feedback, coaching, modular training sessions, team coaching and Action Learning groups- Development Centres and behavioural assessment for selection, assessment and talent development - Providing Organisational Development and Collaboration support for the alliance working on a major northern UK rail infrastructure upgrade programme- Behavioural based safety - needs analysis, design, programme delivery and evaluation, across UK Highways- Developing a supportive team culture in the European arm of a major optical manufacturing business through a series of tailored team events and one-to-one coaching- Change management programme design and delivery for effective partnership working across NHS, local authority, third and independent sectors- Ongoing supervisory support (15 years experience) to ensure best practice in the application of occupational psychology for trainee Occupational Psychologists, to enable them to achieve full Chartered Status with BPS.
