The creative genius behind Impish the Elf, Amanda Hauser, is a devoted Christian wife and mother of eight children ranging in age from 5 to 24. With 25 years of experience as an educator, curriculum designer, writer, and parenting blogger, Amanda has been recognized as a featured virtual teacher on The Today Show; a contributing member of Shark Tank's Daymond John's educators' roundtable; and is a regular blogger for Indianapolis Moms. Amanda is on a mission to create magical Christmas experiences for children around the world. Driven by the fleeting nature of childhood and the desire to preserve its innocence and wonder, Amanda is passionate about creating enchanting traditions and memories that her family and others can cherish for years to come - memories like Impish the Elf! This mischievous little elf stood out among many magical Hauser house Christmas traditions, leaving clever clues in each child's stocking to guide them to their gifts. Beginning with a simple matching ornament and wrapping paper scheme, Impish's escapades grew increasingly elaborate as Amanda’s children matured, culminating in exciting themes like those found in Impish the Elf: World Traveler, Impish the Elf: Confection Perfection, and Impish the Elf: Secret Agent. Encouraged by her family’s enthusiasm for Impish as well as demand from friends and family for their own Impish traditions, Amanda penned the first Impish the Elf storybook in 2019. She subsequently expanded into complete Impish the Elf kits, spreading the Impish tradition to families near and far and offering a slower, sweeter alternative to Christmas morning chaos. Currently, the line includes four different books, available on Amazon, BarnesandNoble.com, and impish-the-elf.myshopify.com The Impish tradition has roots in Amanda’s own magical childhood growing up on a rural farm in Indiana, as well as her experiences raising her own family. Impish is also based on solid educational foundation. Drawing upon Amanda’s curriculum development expertise and education, including a Master’s of Education in curriculum and instruction, Impish promotes family-based exploration and discovery and encourages problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
