About Amanda Heath
I am a work and organizational psychologist and a member of the Swedish Research Council-funded Diversity in the Labor Market group at Linnaeus University. I also teach on the MSc Work and Organizational Psychology.My current research is around topics of diversity and inclusion, recruitment and organizational attraction, and well-being and resilience. A particular focus is on the use of equality data collection and monitoring and how this may be a useful tool for governments and organizations in evidence-based practice. I have recently published on psychological harm, a term of interest to government and regulators, creating a working definition and proposing measurement approaches.Recent collaborations include: Region Kalmar Län (increasing diversity), Happy at Work AB (happiness and satisfaction in the workplace), and a European project on resilience training with researchers in the UK (Birmingham), France (Nantes), Germany (Cologne) and Sweden (LNU) assessed by RCT. I am currently conducting research on diversity in the Nordic media sector for Fojo Institute.I am highly competent with statistics, SPSS, and R, and experienced in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. I specialise in experimental and field study methods and surveys, and am proficient with Qualtrics software. I have research publications in cognitive, forensic and organizational psychology.Background: I have 20 years' experience working in Higher Education at different UK universities, and extensive experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate psychology and supervising student research at all levels. My areas of expertise were in cognitive and forensic psychology, memory, language, and applications in forensic interviewing. Course leaderships included: Psychobiology & Cognition, Cognitive Psychology, Memory Disorders, Intro to Criminal and Forensic Psychology, Psychology of Evidence, Judgement and Decision Making in the Workplace, Organizations in a Global World, Stress at Work. teaching extensively and supervising student research on BSc and MSc programmes.I have been involved in all aspects of design and administration of modules and courses, curriculum design and development, coordination of staff and teaching teams, committee membership, and internal and external quality assurance in HE. I have held leadership positions such as School of Psychology careers lead, library lead - managing the School library budget, and external research seminar coordinator.
