About Amanda Heron

I am a Guidance Counsellor at Brisbane Catholic Education, where I provide academic, social, and emotional support to students and families. I also work as an Educational Consultant at DoSE training, where I empower teachers to do the art of teaching using the research-based framework created by Dr Caroline Blackley. I have a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from QUT and a Bachelor of Education from ACU. In my current roles, I use my skills in educational consulting, student counselling, and professional development programs to enhance the learning outcomes and well-being of students and teachers. I collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to address the diverse needs and challenges of the school community. I am passionate about helping students and teachers reach their full potential and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have worked as a primary school teacher in different dioceses and have completed various courses and workshops in counselling, mentoring, and leadership.
