About Amanda Herrera

I live to inspire joy in the everyday. For what are the big things in life if not for the precious small things? I’m from a small town in Oklahoma and have always had the spirit of a nomad. I am truly the most at home at feet working as a flight attendant or at the controls of a single engine airplane working towards my ratings. Aviation is a unique and remarkable industry that has transformed into an extended family and lifelong career. I have much to accomplish and the journey is just getting started. This industry has taught me how to find strength in adversity, courage in discomfort, and to remember one’s roots while aiming for the flight levels. Countless humans have cheered me on throughout my path. I too, strive to encourage those who seek a a path in aviation. When not flying, I’m reading, listening to podcasts, dancing, hiking, eating good food with friends, or planning my next adventure. I’m a multi-faceted individual with the motivation, passion, and drive to immerse myself within the aviation industry while earning my ratings as a pilot while helping pioneer a strong female generation of aviators.
