About Amanda Hutton
I am a Lyric Mezzo Soprano who began singing Jazz and Music Theatre before moving to the Classical realm and studying Opera Performance, graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium with my Bachelor of Music in Performance and Graduate Diploma of Opera Performance. I sang with Opera Queensland for two years before moving to Sydney to further my studies at Sydney Conservatorium of Music, graduating with my Master of Music Studies in Opera in 2007. I have extensive professional stage and theatre experience and have been a soloist with Queensland Pops Orchestra and Central Coast Philharmonia, as well as many smaller concert platforms. I have sung with Opera Australia, including The Pirates of Penzance seasons and tour and the ‘Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour’ operas. I have a wealth of repertoire across the genres and provide concerts, entertainment for functions and corporate events and am available for weddings and funerals. As a freelance performer, I’m available to collaborate with other artists, choirs, bands and orchestras for stage or session work.
