Like many others in today's volatile work environment, I was forced to change the direction of my professional life and make a mid-career change. Being an immigrant did not lessen the impact of fear and uncertainty. Faced with this challenge, I plunged out of my comfort zone and embarked on a new journey. This resulted in immense professional and personal growth. Intrinsically motivated and a life-long learner on my path to self-actualization, I always seek opportunities to learn new skills and meet like-minded people. Fortunately, I still have to opportunity to continue my work in education while I build a legal services business. I continue to embrace new opportunities because they present new challenges that constantly build upon my level of professionalism. Through these challenges I have actively:*Developed critical thinking skills *Engaged in active problem-solving *Analyzed complex materials *Managed teams With these skills and my keen ability to build relationships, I always go the extra mile to maximize my team's performance potential. When I am not working, I am focussed on volunteering with a local community non-profit, empowering others to develop a growth mindset and build self-confidence. and exploring my passion for writing. I use different forums to write about anything that moves me; social awareness, parenting, education, career, and legal issues. As a developing writer, I find my creative voice; a medium through which I can share my thoughts and feelings about issues with others.
