At Oishii, I started as a Farm Operator and was promoted to a trainer after only a few months. I help train new employees and current employees where they need additional help. A typical day includes harvesting strawberries, pruning plants, packaging berries, sort and box packaged berries, brix the berries to determine sweetness, printing labels and providing inventory data into various shared documents. Additionally, I assist the Team leads in areas that they need help, including collecting data on other employees for performance info, and uploading the data into a shared Excel sheet, as well as, helping with IPM maintenance. I was on the Fertigation team and Veg Team at Ascend Wellness, where I specialized in feeding over 200 mother plants, along with flowering plants. In addition to being on the Fertigation team, I also started working on the Veg team, where we specialized in taking care of the plants in the vegetative state. On the veg team, we would up-pot the clones to larger pots, top, pruning/skirting, and clean between plant phases. Also helped in the flower department when needed by helping with defoliation of the plants, and trellising. I also help out the processing team when needed by rolling joints, weighing product and packaging it, and preparing the product for sale. Experienced cannabis grower in the Colorado market and my current role involves the day to day care and nourishment of over cannabis plants. Daily tasks include mixing nutrient reservoirs (dependent on growth week), watering and checking plants to ensure they are healthy, burping/watering clone trays, cutting and plugging clones, up-potting plants (utilizing both rock wall and soil), trellis-ing trays, pruning plants, defoliating depending on stage, and cleaning, etc. Experienced cannabis harvester and trimmer in the competitive Denver industry. Current role involves cutting down plants, weighing them, processing the plants, reweighing them, and hanging to dry. Additionally, cleaning the grow and transplanting newer plants for growth. Also help the cultivation team when needed to: Plant clones, filling pots, transplanting plants from small pots to larger pots, tagging, watering plants, and cleaning pots/risers. While trimming, I was able to trim 1.5-2 lbs a day from whole plants.
