About Amanda-Jane Johnstone

Graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2019 with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Media & Communications. Since graduating, I have had a very varied career working in events. I started my career with Panoptic being Event Coordinator then later promoted to the role of Head of Events where I worked on hundreds of different events from charity events, sports and music and corporate. I overseen all aspects of event planning including venue sourcing, staffing, entertainment, sourcing suppliers, sourcing and meeting new clients, maintaining professional relationships, handling client enquiries and problem-solving to ensure the events all run smoothly. After leaving Panoptic, I worked as a Wedding Designer for Supernova where I worked with couples to ensure their vison came to life before working for itison as an Events & Bookings coordinator. I am now in a very exciting point in my career which has led me to work in the third sector as a Communications Worker with the brilliant team at Scottish Drugs Forum and I am very excited to see where this next chapter takes me!
