About Amanda Kellock
I have an MFA in Directing and a BFA in Theatre and Development. I am passionately interested in what it means to be human, and the way I explore this is through theatre. Whether it be directing, acting, writing (translation and adaptation, mostly) or teaching - I am always aiming for honesty, integrity, and rigorous passion. I teach at Concordia University, but I have also taught at McGill University, Dawson College, and the Geordie Theatre School. I love teaching, even though I will never feel that I know enough. My main goal as a teacher is to encourage students to be present, aware, curious, committed and courageous - so that they are in charge of their own learning. I have quite a bit of experience in leadership training for teens (Canadian Leadership conferences and Youth Leadership Camps Canada, etc.) and this also interests me. Specialties: Theatre - directing, acting, writing and teaching. Teaching - performance, and various life skills through drama; I've also worked as an acting coach, especially for Shakespeare
