Background

About Amanda Kesler

I am a current Master of Landscape Architecture Candidate at WashU in St. Louis with a liberal arts background in architectural studies and environmental studies. I am passionate about aiding communities in building community resiliency in response to climate change-related hazards, such as floods, fires, and excessive heat, while improving urban livability. I became interested in these topics while working for a multidisciplinary engineering, planning, and design firm, expanded by my studies at the Sam Fox School. The commitment of the Sam Fox School towards STEM designation allows me to engage in a diverse range of projects, grounded in rigorous research methods and innovative design approaches. I also am a part-time assistant coach for WashU women's soccer with passion for athletics, leadership, and helping to grow community cultures.
