Story and Image are the threads in my primary projects: Family Archive Business, amandafayelacson.com, and Amanda Faye Lacson Workshops. In all of these projects, I aim to use and help others find words and image to tell stories that may otherwise go unnoticed or be forgotten: a silk hat that was just a beautiful black derby, until we learn it was worn just once, on the occasion of the owner becoming a dad for the first time; recipes traveling through time and space to be created and re-created by generations of journeying women; writing about scars, to discover that multiple people in the room share and still carry the wounds of riding bikes as kids. I look forward to hearing of any opportunities that are adjacent to these projects, and to working with individuals and groups to document our own stories for future generations.
