About Amanda Lozenich

Holding a love/hate relationship with academics I've faltered on what I "want to be when I grow up" since I've always wanted to do it all. Finally decided on Psychology, since people are a bigger passion then learning (though honestly it's the best of both worlds). Worked my tail off through trials and tribulations to gradate with honors, then COVID happened soonish after. Moved to Portland to seize the day and ended up helping start up a crystal/mineral online company in which we (myself and the owner) sourced minerals from around the world, marketed through social media, held live sales, and grew my customer service experience. You can take the girl out of education but you can't take.well you know. Portland or bust and bust it was. Back to Texas where I landed a job as a math teacher assistant and ultimately fell in love. Of course! Was challenged to become certified for a possible teaching possible. This girl loves a challenge so I busted butt again and became certified. In the words of my former Head of School "Never before have I seen anyone complete their certification so quickly". Hardest but most rewarding year of my employment life. Sadly the school downsized, but opportunity is always present and now we are full circle back to education. Currently working on my Master in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling while searching the remote job world living on a small farm in remote North Dakota!
