About Amanda Marchment

As a Communications Professional for over a decade, I have taken on progressively responsible positions to develop my skills. I excel at managing communications projects from strategy through planning and implementation. I am a dynamic writer, a diligent project manager and an enthusiastic media relations practitioner. As a writer, I shape key messages and develop print and online material, including ads, brochures, invitations, newsletters and presentations, while implementing the latest social media practices. As a project manager, my focus is on the production of media pieces. I am responsible for maintaining a story database, conducting interviews, writing press releases, developing speaking notes and managing sponsorship initiatives. As a media relations practitioner, I create media strategies to build and leverage relationships with media contacts, to generate and pitch stories and to monitor and track media coverage. Through my experiences as a communications professional, I have learned the importance of organization, planning and time management to complete multiple tasks for multiple clients. I am detail-oriented and approach each project strategically with a set of priorities to accomplish my goals. I have exceptional verbal and written communications skills and can tell compelling stories in simple language for diverse audiences. I enjoy working independently, but also excel in a team environment. I take pride in my work and bring professionalism to every task. I take initiative, have a positive attitude and enjoy taking on new challenges.
