About Amanda Marley

I recently graduated from Radboud University with a Masters in History. I find it important to get people excited about history by educating them and sparking passion for the field, as a teacher or by making accessible and enjoyable history literature and content. I also believe that it is crucial to modernize and digitalize our field. History has so much to gain from the present and it is up to people like my generation to harness the new capabilities provided by our current day technology. My hobbies include game design and world-building, I have several years of experience modding video games including largescale projects played by over a hundred thousand people. In projects like these I have learned how important a proper workflow and team structure are for productivity, with a mix of hierarchy and freedom being crucial. Regarding world-building, I also often spend my weekends playing tabletop role-playing games, which I find are one of the greatest teachers for creative problem solving and conflict resolution within a dynamically changing environment.
