About Amanda Marx

My career-life began as a Paul Mitchell trained, licensed Cosmetologist. After years in the beauty industry and building a successful business as a hair and skin expert, my desire to offer more became apparent. A commonality amongst recommendations with those concerned of hair loss and skin problems were discussions of diet and stress management. This led me to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition, which I obtained from San Diego State University. During my studies, I became heavily involved in nutrition research and was offered a position at SDSU's Research Foundation. The majority of my academia research pertained to the effects certain foods had on weight management and cardiovascular health. I began working years in the commercial realm of clinical research trials, specializing in Endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic diseases. My work in research has impacted millions, however the personal connection in helping others was lost. The points of my journey connected to bring you, Marx Wellness, where self-care meets healthcare. We are bridging the gap between healthcare visits by providing health and lifestyle coaching to those desiring to reach their personal health goals and achieve greater metabolic health.
