About Amanda Maybee

I am a social science teacher seeking an opportunity to help open or aid in the growth of, a new charter school. There are key areas of expertise I bring to the table as an educator and colleague; however, what makes me unique is the following:+ I am a world traveler and adventurer. I bring an energetic enthusiasm for life to students, which is a uniquely motivating force in the classroom.+ I focus not only on creating a culture of positivity and lust for life for both students and coworkers, I have a unique background that helps make partnerships within the community that can be a tremendous asset especially to charter schools- I have over 9 years of teaching and educational leadership experience in both charter and school district environments- I have worked as a Social Science Teacher, Educational Technology Expert, Curriculum Design Specialist, and as an educational leader as a Lead Teacher and Regional Instruction Specialist- I have also have experience in opening a grass roots charter learning center that grew by over 400% in just 3 years. I bring with me a global perspective and a plethora of unique experiences that would be a great asset to any out-of-the-box style educational organization. However, it is my extraordinary positive attitude, enthusiasm for adventure, and the outdoors, which really helps me stand out from the crowd. Bringing this type of growth mindset into education is exactly what many students need to help motivate them toward a positive future and toward success in achieving their dreams.
