About Amanda McInerney

Specialties: Food/travel writing, food research I am a long-time Adelaide Hills resident, and a Le Cordon Bleu Graduate with a Certificate in Gastronomy. I also completed the Le Cordon Bleu Advanced Studies in Taste course in France in 2019 and was awarded the Diploma in 2021. I am author and publisher of the respected food/travel blog Lambs' Ears and Honey, which focuses on food production and food security. Researching Australian food trends, I helped compile the Campbell's Food Trend research project. I've worked extensively for a wide variety of tourism organisations including the South Australian Tourism Commission, the Canadian Tourism Commission, Canberra Tourism, Tourism Whitsundays, Great Southern Rail and Culinary Backstreets, the global culinary guided tour provider. I am a strong advocate for local food producers, and have also worked with national and international food brands including KitchenAid, Campbells, Breville and the Mushroom Growers Association. As a freelance food and travel writer, I have worked with local food organisations and the Adelaide City Council. My work has been published in SALife Magazine, the Adelaide Hills Magazine, Tiger Tales, the inflight magazine for Tiger Airlines, InDaily, Smart Farmer and the Fairfax Press, Queensland Good Food Guide. I have extensive experience in event programming and management, and was the Program Director for Tasting Australia's Words To Go, the innovative culinary travel bloggers conference hosted by South Australian Tourism Commission. I also coordinated and co-chaired the Organising Committee for Eat Drink Blog, the Australian food bloggers conference held in Adelaide in 2012.
