I worked as a General Manager for 10+ years running restaurants. The biggest store I ran had a crew of 60 people. I wrote schedules, controlled food cost and labor, interviewed, hired, processed onboarding paperwork, audits, safe control, etc. I trained several crew and managers over the years, I helped build some of the best teams. I’m grateful for my management experience, it instilled skills I will carry with me forever. In 2022 I decided it was time for a change and stepped into the engineering department of the telecommunications industry as a Permit Specialist. It was the best decision I ever made, I absolutely love what I do. My job consists of permit research, filling out applications for ROW permits, assigning work to drafters, QC-ing drafted permit prints, taking client calls, follow up on permits, and building relationships with both permit authorities and clients.
