About Amanda Mortimer

Project Manager for the University of Pittsburgh SHRS Data Center, ensuring quality control for multiple federally funded single center and multicenter research projects. I track project milestones from intake to production of electronic data capture systems, utilizing standardization procedures and common data elements. I ensure timeliness of project deliverables with respect to data monitoring, reporting, protocol changes, analysis, compliance, secure data storage, and data sharing at closeout. In my spare time, I am helping to kickstart Babesburgh. We are a group of women in the Pittsburgh area connecting, collaborating and celebrating all things women. Previous experienced Scientist and Laboratory Manager with strong communication, organizational, neuroscience and biochemistry skills. Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to work in the academic laboratory setting with a focus on Parkinson's disease research. My strengths include exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new procedures, techniques, and equipment. I am in the process of obtaining my Masters in Health Informatics.
