About Amanda Mowle

With over 13 years of legal experience, I am currently a Supervising Attorney at the Office of Child Support (OCS) at the State of Vermont. My core competencies include legal writing, legal research, mediation, litigation, and training. I have a unique field of expertise in air and space law, which I obtained from my Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at McGill University. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the OCS team, as I have worked in various legal settings, including the International Civil Aviation Organization, the Rutland County Public Defender's Office and the Vermont Karelia Rule of Law Project. As a Supervising Attorney, I oversee OCS staff attorneys, provide legal advice to OCS's Intercept Unit, and serve as an administrative hearing officer conducting administrative review hearings. I also develop and present statewide training for all OCS employees, as well as provide litigation support and legal assistance throughout the organization. In addition, I am a member of the Vermont Parentage Act workgroup, and I have provided trainings on the Act to various stakeholders, such as the Vermont Judiciary, the Vermont Bar Association, the Rutland County Bar Association, and regional hospitals. I use my skills in legal writing, legal research, mediation, and communication to effectively handle complex and sensitive legal issues, and to achieve positive outcomes.
