Background

About Amanda Mrad

Leading youth around the world towards agrifood system transformation as an intern on the Local Action Team for the World Food Forum at UN FAO HQ in Rome, Italy. I previously served as a Research Associate at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, conducting microbiome studies aiming to end inflammatory bowel disease. Collaborated with a team ranked #1 in Gastroenterology & GI Surgery by U.S. News & World Report. Conducted an intermittent fasting study under the mentorship of Dr. Devkota and supported collaborations within the Cedars-Sinai Human Microbiome Research Institute, supporting research labs across our institution. In addition to my role at Cedars Sinai, I've been fortunate to engage in various leadership positions, including co-instructing Fiat Lux seminars at UCLA, where I collaborated with professors to develop and deliver seminars exploring topics such as the gut microbiome and the attention economy. I've also served as a Teaching Kitchen Assistant, Resident Assistant, and Project Management Intern Lead. Happy to connect!
