About Amanda Navar

I have worked in the nonprofit sector for 30 years. Throughout my career, I have been successful in raising more than $25 million for agencies in California and Texas. I have served as a consultant for several local and statewide California nonprofits, including school districts, healthcare organizations, homeless services, performing arts companies, and various youth and senior programs. These organizations have annual operating budgets ranging from to $45 million and serve very diverse populations. Through my work with them, they secured a variety of private and public funds, completed successful capital campaigns, expanded their Boards of Directors, diversified revenue sources, launched strategic planning processes, and streamlined program planning efforts for more effective outcomes. I conduct fundraising, grantwriting, and storytelling workshops for nonprofit professionals. I provide leadership development mentoring to young women new to supervisory positions. I am passionate about philanthropy and building opportunity where none exists. My strengths are resourcefulness, creativity, follow-through, and the ability to kick-start new initiatives.
