Whether it be due to chasing ‘deadlines’ in a pseudo waterfall environment or just getting into a rut with the perceived ‘drudgery’ of the scrum sprint routine, organisations and teams can quickly lose their minds. These organisations and teams need help. Someone with extensive knowledge and experience of these Agile concepts. Someone to hold up a mirror to remind them of the value they are trying to achieve. Someone to work collaboratively in determining the best approach to realizing this value. Someone to teach, coach and mentor them through this journey of continuous improvement towards excellence. Cue the Agile Coach. As a committed Agile Coach, I pride myself on my ability to tailor my approach with individuals, teams and environments based on my proven experience, skills and EQ. As the Agile Manefesto, Principles and Scrum Guide only provide an outline and general framework, there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to ‘HOW’ an organisation might implement these concepts. By thoroughly understanding a wide range of Agile theory, but more importantly having the pragmatic ability to read the organisational environment and assess its agile maturity, I am able to determine the best approach for a given situation without compromising or contradicting the foundation of these principles and methodologies. Change is the only constant in the world of digital technology. This challenge excites me and I am truly passionate about pushing the status quo whilst fostering an environment of psyche safety for teams to freely innovate in their pursuit of high performance. I see myself as a living link between the strategic intent of a business and the reality of enacting these objectives on the front lines at a team level. I have recently relocated to France from New Zealand with my family. My goal is to bring my Agile experience to a role with the opportunity to collaborate with innovative individuals, teams, and companies who are willing to push the boundaries and create a culture of excellence in bringing Agile to the world.
