About Amanda Oldfield

Hi! My name is Amanda Oldfield and I am looking to connect with those who have strong skills in people, business, marketing, volunteering, and business operations. I have worked for McDonalds since I was 17 years old. I started working at a very young age. I would help my father and grandparents in their gardens. My dad taught me that hard work pays off and if you want something, you have to work for it! So at young age of 12 I applied for my first REAL job. I was a paper delivery girl in my hometown neighborhood to save money to buy my own television set. I also used to babysit family and a few people who hired me. Of course, in high school everyone usually starts their first adult paying job. I wanted to get my first car and my dad reminded me that if I wanted something, I had to work for it. I applied everywhere. I finally landed a job at Mcdonalds! I was very excited to work in a place I grew up loving. Every friday night, my family would go to dinner at McDonalds. So, I was very eager to learn how the business ran. Little did I know that it would turn into a career! Who knew? Since then, I have graduated many times from fries, and worked my way up to a department manager. It has been a long journey. But, I often remind myself of what my late father told me;"If you want something, you have to work for it!"
