About Amanda P. Burlingham

In 2005, I left a secure job as a social enterprise manager to pursue two of my passions: writing and advising nonprofits. Equipped with 20+ years of public relations (PR), marketing, and project management expertise, I have cultivated a unique personal brand of empathy, curiosity, and practicality steeped in a commitment to elevating our region’s mission-driven organizations. You can see my most recent work through long-term partnerships with the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority and Emma’s Footprints and can view my work across the region via projects with the Impact Corry's Route 6 Heritage and Visitor Centers in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Route 6 Heritage Corporation, Erie Downtown Partnership, Erie Redevelopment Authority, and Stairways Behavioral Health. My published work can be read in Erie Times-News, FAITH Magazine, and Her Times. Dedicated and energetic, I get great joy and satisfaction from my work with Erie nonprofits, small businesses, and local governments. I create, deploy, and measure innovative strategies to solve communication, customer/community relations, brand/image, and sales/fundraising challenges by employing:• 18 years' experience PR and marketing experience, including 15 years in the nonprofit sector and 13 years in management• 13 years' experience researching, writing, editing, and directing the production of brochures, annual reports, newsletters, direct mail, Web sites, and social media and advertising campaigns• 2 years' experience as managing and art director of a regional health magazine• Author of more than 100 articles published in regional publications since 2005Committed to elevating the city of Erie and to issues of social equity, I founded Erie City Moms in 2016 and am an active volunteer at ServErie and Erie's Public Schools.
