About Amanda Pagel

Hello, my name is Amanda Pagel and I’m a rising senior accounting major at the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. I have always loved numbers and organization so when I took an accounting class my sophomore year, I knew I had to make the switch to accounting. Through my coursework, I have gained a solid foundation in accounting principles. During the academic year, I am a teaching assistant for the introductory accounting class, which has allowed me to continuously refresh my memory about the basics of accounting as I continue to learn. Last summer, I interned at Arbella Mutual Insurance where I was able to gain valuable insight about the legal side of a company, make valuable connections, while also learning valuable business soft skills and this summer, I am back at Arbella in the Billing and Commissions department. Down the line, I hope to graduate in May 2027 with a master's degree in accounting, as well as obtaining a CPA license to elevate my skills and credibility in the industry. I am currently looking for audit or consulting internship opportunities for summer 2026 where I can establish a foothold in the world of accounting!
