My current role is with the Salem Fire Department, serving on an ambulance in their EMS Division as a single-role EMT. My role requires not only strong clinical skills, but also the ability to practice effective followership and leadership under pressure, adapt to rapidly changing circumstances, and maintain clear, calm communication with both patients and partners in the field. Beyond direct patient care, I bring experience in project management, process improvement, and workflow optimization, which allows me to approach emergency response with an eye for efficiency and safety. I am trained in advanced and large scale Incident Command System (ICS) operations, giving me a solid foundation in structured crisis management and interagency coordination. I believe that technical skills alone aren’t enough in emergency medicine, emotional intelligence is equally critical. I prioritize empathy, active listening, and clear communication to support patients in vulnerable moments, while also fostering strong collaboration with colleagues across fire, EMS, and hospital systems. Adaptability and teamwork are at the core of my work. I thrive in dynamic environments, wear multiple hats when needed, and believe that strong leadership comes from positivity, encouragement, and clear communication. My mission is simple: to combine clinical expertise, operational effectiveness, and human connection to provide the highest quality of care and strengthen the communities we serve.
