About Amanda Passos

I am a Statistics student at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), a college I entered with the purpose of becoming a Data Scientist. Throughout my training and Compass.uol Data Science PB, I developed skills in data modeling, descriptive statistics, statistical inference, machine learning, Python, R and SQL. I have been a scientific researcher (with a scholarship and as a volunteer, using Python and R in each of the works, respectively), a university monitor for the Basic Statistics discipline, a volunteer monitor at the UFBA Mathematics and Statistics Teaching Laboratory as an expositor of combinatorial analysis models and a data analyst in the NAMIR UFBA project since joining the university in 2022. I work as a Data Scientist at Compass.uol (consulting), with my last two projects being Demand Planning and Supply Forecasting, using AWS Supply Chain (PoC Mexico) and Databricks to understand the behavior of the time series of each client's products, predict their demands and evaluate them using models such as ARIMA, XGBoost, LightGBM, Prophet, Croston, DeepAR+, among many others, and revolutionize customer demand planning. I am passionate about the data field, and I always seek to expand my knowledge and contribute to meaningful projects. I work very well in a team, I speak well in public and I communicate clearly and democratically. I am fluent in English (C1), with a certificate of proficiency from the Michigan English Test, and I am learning French at PROFICI UFBA.
