About Amanda Patch

The best journeys are the ones without a goal." I came across that phrase one day when I was very young, and it's held onto me since. At the end of high school I found myself getting ready to head off to The College of St. Benedict, but I really hand no idea or set goal in mind. My only thing was that I wanted to see what the world had to offer and learn all that I could. I found that I loved Communication, Writing, and that I had an interest in Asian history and digital art. From there I set out to learn and take in as much as I could, without a clear set path or goal. From there I stumbled upon opportunities and people that helped shape me as a person, and even led to me getting an internship with the local Girl Scout Council where I got to develop my writing skills and learned how to perfect many of the skills that I had never put into practice before. I'm soon going to set out into "the real world", and even there I don't have a set plan. I want to learn more every day and see what this world and what these opportunities hold for me. A job in Communication and Marketing seemed to be the best fit for me. I love talking to people, creating, developing, planning, and then after a project is done look to see what I could have done better or what I can do better next time to make it more valuable. I believe that this career path will foster my creative side and my people side to let me become not only a well rounded person, but to help those around me become more insightful and grow in their own journey.
