About Amanda Patrick

I have a passion to help and empathize with others. I have a vast amount of experience working in the substance use disorder field. As a COAL fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, I have been given a vast amount of opportunities to amplify my skills with this population. As a direct practice mental health track, I have been given the opportunity to work with an array of clients and patients. Many of my internships have consisted of case management and one-on-one counseling with individuals. My current internship has exposed me to medical social work and also the immigrant population. Some areas that I have interest in are trauma and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have also done some grant work in the past. At one of my previous employers, I was the coalition mobilizer and ensured all aspects of the Drug Free Communities grant were met. I will graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in May of 2022 with my MSW. plan to continue growing my skills and working with underserved populations. My goals are to obtain my LSW and then also obtain my LCSW in the years to follow.
