About Amanda Praet
I first launched my professional journey by obtaining my Certified Therapeutic Recreation Certification and working in various roles serving the special needs community, nationwide. Over the course of my time in the non-profit sector, I was privileged to work in hands-on, people focused positions serving those of all ages with varying physical, cognitive, social and emotional disabilities. During that time I also became accomplished in the design, delivery, oversight and evaluation of high-quality programs, and the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of employees. Since parting ways with the special needs camping industry, I've discovered that what drives me professionally is the desire to work collaboratively to make positive change. I'm heavily focused on professional roles of service where I can strive to create a more equitable and inclusive environment. In 2022, I made a career transition into Human Resources where I have been using my intentionality, relatability and grit to create the best possible experience for employees no matter where I am working.
