About Amanda Rigby

I am a Curriculum Developer: Instructor at Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), where I facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions for learners and instructors. I have a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from Ball State University, where I studied how people learn and apply their knowledge and skills. I have a passion for learning strategies, skill development, and action planning, and I use these competencies to design and deliver high-impact learning solutions.In my current role, I analyze data trends for each assessment and individual learners, and perform needs analysis daily to give my learners instruction in ways that would improve their individual understandings. I also develop and implement technology-based deliverables on Learning Management Systems (LMS) for instructor-led training (ILT). As a result, I have increased learner success rate on assessments by 43% and out-performed the average success rate by 23% in under one year. I value collaboration, communication, and creativity, and I work with my team and stakeholders to achieve our shared goals and vision. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have also worked as an elementary school teacher at MCPS and John Marshall, where I led my instructional grade team, strengthened stakeholder engagement, and engaged coworkers with professional development.
