About Amanda Rivers

Amanda Rivers is the Director of Business Improvements at Kinectrics, responsible for the Change Management Program. In her role, Amanda provides oversight of the transformative organizational changes being undertaken by Kinectrics, leading multi-disciplinary teams through the planning, execution and roll-out phases of these complex projects. Amanda has 20 years of experience in the nuclear industry at Kinectrics Inc. Her passion for learning and tackling new challenges has driven her to take on various roles throughout the organization starting as a project leader in the Nuclear Engineering Services team, the Service Line Leader and Lead Trainer for Commercial Grade Dedication, Manager of Projects in the Probabilistic Risk Assessment team as well as a role in the finance department as the Business Analyst for Kinectrics’ International Companies. Amanda also worked as Director of Business Development, developing strategic growth plans for each of Kinectrics' pillars of engineering services, negotiating contracts and managing relationships with one of Kinectrics’ primary accounts in the nuclear industry. Amanda’s diverse experiences, combined with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from Schulich School of Business, have provided a strong foundation for business development and strategic planning. Amanda is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) which complements her skill set by providing the analytical skills needed to make informed, insightful decisions. Amanda served on the WiN Canada Board of Directors from 2015-2024 and has been actively involved on the organizing committees for the annual WiN Canada conferences, WiNs leadership development programs and is a trained facilitator for the EmPowered Women leadership program. In her role as Treasurer of WiN Canada, Amanda provided financial oversight of the operations of WiN Canada and its chapters, including chairing the Risk & Audit committee, participating on the Governance committee, establishing WiN Canada’s annual budget, negotiating contracts and ensuring sustainability of the organization to reach its long term goals.
