About Amanda Roberts

I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Rhode Island and thirteen years of management experience. I completed 42 credits in the MSW program from Walden University. I am loving my new and current field as I am finally doing something I’ve been passionate about for years…helping others. My background is mostly in retail management and my responsibilities as a manager have always been Human Resources and operations focused. It has been my focus to analyze sales trends, monitor KPIs and use reporting to ensure we are maximizing our potential for sales. It has been my responsibility to find, interview, hire, onboard and train candidates. It has also been my responsibility to follow up with training and associate performance. I have performed operational tasks such as payroll, paperwork, safety and loss prevention audits, and overseeing the shipment process. It has been part of my role to create associate schedules and create, organize and oversee events. I have been a part of the inventory process at each job, I have overseen monitoring supplies and analyzing inventory levels to ensure cost effective supply orders. I also have experience with deescalating customer issues and administering employee corrective action. I have also been responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed. I am able to work independently as needed and am very eager and willing to learn. Working in retail has also educated me on how to prosper in a team environment. I have excellent multi-tasking skills and am highly organized.
