With over 17 years of experience in the financial industry, I specialize in risk management, compliance risk and operational risk, focusing on developing and implementing strong and effective control frameworks. Throughout my career, I've cultivated deep expertise in risk and control self-assessments, operational risk management, and driving continuous improvements to enhance risk mitigation strategies. Over the past decade, my career has been centered on Risk Management and Risk Operations, where I’ve had the privilege of partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure the execution of comprehensive risk strategies that align with business objectives. I am committed to safeguarding business operations by proactively identifying risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Most recently, as a Business Risk & Control Officer VP, I was responsible for developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks, control documentation, and procedures. I focused on strengthening second-line defense activities, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with risk mitigation strategies, and promoting a strong risk-aware culture. I partnered closely with internal audit and regulatory teams, along with business units, to ensure a strong risk and control environment, addressing any gaps and maintaining compliance. I also led and performed RCSAs for multiple Business units within Consumer Lending to identify potential risks, assess control effectiveness, and implement improvements to mitigate operational and compliance risks. My primary objective was to enhance the company’s risk management practices, ensuring regulatory compliance and contributing to the organization’s long-term success and resilience.
