About Amanda Rom

As a biologist with extensive expertise in virology, large molecule bioanalysis, and molecular biology, I have a proven track record in advancing scientific and clinical research. My expertise in qPCR, RT-qPCR, ELISA, and ECLIA method development and validations supporting non-clinical and clinical sample analysis has been a key component for several successful FDA Investigational New Drug (IND) applications. I have led the implementation of numerous viral assays, significantly advancing anti-viral drug screening programs for emergent viruses. My knowledge extends to pathogen detection, supporting biodefense initiatives, and the safe handling of pathogens in a biosafety level 3 environment. As a leader, I am dedicated to fostering high-performing teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence in laboratory environments. Most recently, I served as an Associate Director of Molecular Biology, where I built and managed a new business unit for the site. I am passionate about mentoring future scientific leaders and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to deliver impactful results in both non-clinical and clinical research. I am now looking forward to new opportunities where I can be part of a cross-functional team helping to bring innovative therapies to patients.
