About Amanda Sandberg

With over 15 years of experience in public education, I am driven to cultivate, coach, and sustain experiences and opportunities oriented toward social justice and educational equity. As an instructional leader, I examine the implications of social and cultural learning to establish engaging, culturally responsive, and linguistically sustaining learning communities. I am cognizant of the need to elevate individual student assets and remain acutely aware of the diverse academic, linguistic, cultural, and socio-economic contexts in which our school systems reside. In collaboration with staff, I design and implement coherence within a robust professional learning program that aligns with district and school goals and initiatives. These opportunities are thoughtfully crafted to meet diverse adult learning needs and are rooted in the latest educational research and policy. I partner with staff to ensure the use of viable curricula, frameworks, and grade-level content, supporting teachers in building productive mindsets around student learning and ability.
