Background

About Amanda Sattler

I have 20+ years of experience leading high-performing fundraising teams, and I am a Doctoral Candidate in Philanthropic Leadership. I live in the intersection of day-to-day fundraising practice and research-based evidence. I understand the need for strategic short-term action and long-term planning. I've raised money in times of scarcity and abundance. I've learned a lot of extraordinarily good and hard lessons, and can utilize my experience, knowledge, and access to evidence-based research to help you fuel your mission more efficiently and sustainably. My doctoral research centers on why fundraising leaders burnout and how to prevent it. Having personally experienced burnout while serving missions I love, I attempt to bring evidence-based research to life utilizing my own experiences and vulnerability to support and encourage nonprofit staff. I am passionate about teaching, training, and equipping non-profits to steward sustainable leaders and resources. I envision a future where non-profit missions flourish, meeting society’s critical needs with abundant resources. A future where non-profit organizations are not just surviving with scarce human and financial resources but thriving with sustainable and growing leaders, strategies, and fundraising infrastructures.
