About Amanda Settle

Amanda is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian as well as a Certified Diabetes Educator. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2003 and completed her internship with Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, OK. Her interest in nutrition developed at an early age due to her love for dance. As with any sport, ballet is not only physically demanding but also highly competitive so a healthy physique and top physical performance is imperative. Her ballet career ended after high school which led her to continue to pursue her passion for health and wellness by earning her bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences. She has worked for several medical facilities from Oklahoma to Missouri and Illinois. She has 16 years of experience in several areas of dietetics from acute care to outpatient counseling. She has helped facilities develop programs such as pediatric weight management, home based primary care, home based cardiac and pulmonary rehab, and tele-diabetes. Her dedication to teaching and promoting health and wellness led her to co-found Nutrition Wise with Lindsey. Their goal is to help you meet your needs and achieve your goals by providing the most up to date and evidence-based information and to guide you in applying it to yourself and your family.
