About Amanda Tee

I am an educator-turned-social worker with a passion for cultivating learning environments that stimulate growth and connection. I believe that healthy children are best supported by healthy adults, and that an integrated systems approach is necessary to sustain healthy communities. My classroom experience drives my deep faith in children’s inherent inclination towards development and self-actualization. I have found that most adults supporting children are doing the best they can with what they have, and this conviction spurs my excitement for equipping parents and school communities with tools, skills, and support systems to maximize their ability to lead from a place of health. I employ a strengths-based approach, convinced that each person is the expert on their own life, and that the social worker’s role in working with any client is to act as a collaborator on their journey towards wholeness. I also incorporate yoga into my work, believing that all children deserve access to and can benefit from mindfulness practices that promote mental health and well-being. Most importantly, I am a learner— continually seeking out opportunities to challenge my assumptions and expand my understanding. I look forward to learning and working with you!
