About Amanda Thao

As a Conflict of Interest Specialist at Fred Hutch, I have been supporting the Conflict of Interest Office Program at Fred Hutch for over two years. I manage the daily operations and activities of the Conflict of Interest Program, serve as a subject matter expert in proposal submissions, COI reviews, prior approvals, COI IT related issues and coordinate operational aspects of the program. I have a strong background in healthcare and health informatics, with experience in writing, maintaining, and presenting Standard Operational Policy and Procedure documents, processing record releases, and contributing to process improvement projects. I have also completed multiple certifications in data analysis and data-driven decision making from Coursera and Google. I am passionate about healthcare innovations and the use of technology, and I take pride in my diligence, persistence, and empathy. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my kids, outdoor walks, and discovering new local restaurants.
