About Amanda Thomas

I have a wide variety of experiences that have helped me develop into a driven, compassionate & dedicated professional. I approach everyday with a positive mindset, thinking about the details while remembering the big picture of the job, and remaining fully dedicated to myself and those around me. Throughout my teaching career, I was challenged and stretched in new ways, expanding my horizons on how to be a teacher, how to be an effective member of society, and how to communicate with all types of people in a respectful manner. I found the joys in collaborating with colleagues to improve my skills and knowledge, knowing that we as a team can accomplish more than just me as an individual. Through teaching specific social and emotional skills to my students, we gained a better understanding of teaching how to name and process feelings so that no matter the situation, we are respectful to ourselves and those around us. No matter the professional environment I am in, I am always kind, hard working & independent, and dedicated the task at hand. I find joy in keeping things organized, paying attention to the details, and planning ahead for what's to come.
