I have an unparalleled talent for communication, narrative structure, and empirical precision that immediately differentiates me from other candidates. So, while I graduated summa cum laude from UCSB with a degree in Psychology and Brain Science, I only worked in the mental health field for five years before moving into my true passion: writing. Despite the inherent challenge of a substantial career change, I have pursued my passions and found immense success as an excellent writer and editor. Due to my initial lack of experience in professional writing, I was hired as an entry-level proofreader for the award-winning firm Visa Business Plans. However, upon demonstrating my talent with astounding results, I was promoted to the management position of Senior Editor. This position entailed a high degree of customized daily work, including copywriting, editing, and researching specialized legal documents, as well as overseeing and training the company's entire writing department. This promotion came only three months after my initial date of hire. And therein lies the truth: the potential value that I present to an employer is not easily expressed from my resume alone. What sets me apart is my unique perspective and abilities, cultivated from a variety of professional and personal experiences that have nourished my development in ways that words can hardly express.
