About Amanda Toth

Ever since I was little, I have been fascinated with how the business world works. My dad is a lawyer, and we have talked about his job all my life. Mergers and acquisitions have always been a part of our conversations. He has spent hours explaining the intricacies of his career. Recently, our conversations have shifted to the private equity world, as it has been something I have been hearing about in many of my classes, and it has piqued my interest. I love the idea of taking a business and reinventing it into a success and turning it into a profit. In addition, it is a field of growing interest amongst finance majors. Knowing that this will create a competitive job market inspires me. Throughout my education, I have been exposed to competitive learning environments, such as establishing myself as worthy of being executive editor in chief of my high school yearbook over other qualified individuals. I proved that I was more organized and could make decisions most beneficial to the entire yearbook. Through the yearbook and similar situations, I have learned that competition brings out the best version of myself, full of passion and enthusiasm. I cannot wait to continue to learn more about the business world during my time at the Kelley School of Business, and I look forward to bringing the best version of myself to the business world and, ultimately, to the law side of the business world. I am always interested in furthering my skills and creating new connections.
