About Amanda Walker

I am a current physician assistant working in Emergency Medicine, with a unique background in healthcare with over patient care hours first as a phlebotomist and then as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. Throughout my nine-year healthcare career, I have earned the highest respect and praises from patients, colleagues and supervisors for my dependability, clinical sills, quality of care, medical judgement and teamwork. These qualities coupled with my outstanding work ethic that I first learned growing up as the oldest of seven children on a dairy farm in southwest Wisconsin will make me an excellent PA. I am deeply committed to providing the highest quality healthcare to my patients and to be a dependable and encouraging teammate to my colleagues. Another one of my passions is to give back to the communities I live in, most recently volunteering as a mentor and tutor at the Dubuque Multicultural Family Center. I plan to continue this community involvement, wherever I live in the future. When I am not busy with school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, staying active outdoors with my yellow lab, and crossing things off my bucket list: such as seeing Orca whales in the wild, learning to play the guitar, and traveling the world.
