About Amanda Waters

With over 15 years of experience in the early childhood education sector, I am a passionate and skilled Service Designer at Goodstart Early Learning, Australia's largest social enterprise and not-for-profit provider of early learning and care. My mission is to create and deliver outcomes that positively impact the lives of children, families, and educators, especially those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged. As a Service Designer, I apply human-centred design principles and tools to drive transformational changes to current and future services, from research to conceptualisation, development, testing, and implementation. I have a strong focus on user research, stakeholder engagement, and storytelling, as I believe these are essential for understanding the lived experiences of people and inspiring innovation. I also coach and facilitate workshops for teams and leaders across the organisation, empowering them to adopt design thinking and embrace creativity and collaboration.
