About Amanda Whitney
I am an enthusiastic, creative, and problem solving individual. Starting out in theatre, I eventually moved to the financial industry and from there discovered the world of forensic accounting. My passion for the field has only grown and I hope to pursue a career as a forensic accountant or fraud investigator. As of November 2021, I became a CFE. I have been working as a bookkeeper for almost fifteen years, and as a senior bookkeeper for four of those years. My experience goes beyond normal bookkeeping tasks though, with much of my work involving helping small charities and nonprofits upgrade and refine their financial systems. When I am not working, I continue to pursue my creative hobbies such as theatre and game design. I particularly enjoy puzzle solving games, which should work well for pursuing a career in investigation.
