About Amanda Willms

I'm a Behavioural Science PhD candidate passionate about designing meaningful digital health solutions that support real people in their everyday lives. My work lives at the intersection of health and technology, with a particular focus on improving engagement with digital interventions for people living with Type 2 Diabetes. My research involves a mixed-methods, user-centered approach. I work closely with diverse shareholders, from end-users to clinicians to developers, to co-design and test mobile health apps that are both evidence-based and genuinely usable. I'm especially interested in how behaviour change science and design can work together to support better health outcomes. Outside of research, I value mentorship, collaboration, and bringing creativity into problem-solving; whether that's through team-based projects or working across disciplines.
