About Amanda Zavitz
I have had the privilege of serving as a Professor of Sociology at Fanshawe College and Western University for the past 20 years, where I focus my teaching on the critical examination of inequities in various forms. Additionally, I am honored to be the co- executive director of the Gender Equality Coalition of Ontario, intentionally advocating for gender justice that encompasses the rights and experiences of men, women, and gender-diverse individuals through an intersectional lens. Together, we strive to create a more equitable society for all. I am a diversity, inclusion and equity advocate, a feminist, activist, public speaker, co-conspirator, collaborator, and leader.
